Emma Lou is currently out on AIDAbella through August.
2024
Emma Lou completed two contracts with AIDA Cruises
as lead vocalist, traveling from the Caribbean to Northern Europe to the Mediterranean Sea.
She also choreographed a Musical Theatre competition routine for Rhythmic Arts Academy of Dance in Tustin, which won numerous awards, including several for choreography.
2023
Emma Lou spent the first 7 months of 2023 out in the Western Mediterranean on the AIDAStella ship as a lead vocalist.
Emma then traveled back to Midland, Michigan to
direct and choreograph Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Midland Center for the Arts, which sold out all 11 performances.
2022
In January, Emma set the professional regional premiere of NICKEL MINES at ACT of Connecticut. In addition to being the Associate Director/Choreographer and Dance Captain, she acted as the female swing and went on as Rosanna for 6 performances.
In April, Emma Lou worked on Sound of Music at La Mirada Theatre as Assistant Choreographer to Arthur Ross. The production was directed by Glen Casale, music directed by Dennis Castellano, and starred Diane Phelan (ITW Broadway) as Maria.
In May, she traveled to The Harris Center in Folsom, CA to set the same production of The Sound of Music for a limited engagement in the absence of the original creative team.
In June, Emma choreographed High School Musical in Midland, MI for the Midland Center for the Arts with director L’ogan J’ones (Spongebob Broadway) for their outdoor summer series.
In July, Emma Lou finished her Master’s in Education from Concordia University, Irvine.
In November, she traveled to Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke, VA for their production of Holiday Inn. Emma Lou played the role of Danny, covered the role of Louise, and danced in the ensemble.
ABOUT
Emma Lou is a bicoastal (NY & CA) artist who studied Music Theatre and Political Science at the University of California, Irvine. She loves teaching dance, and playing hide and seek with her rescue dog, Daisy. She is happiest exploring new and beautiful places with her family, and creating meaningful, collaborative art.
